Powerplaying is taking over somone else's character, and it is completly against the rules. The most severe type is when you pretend to be the other person and have their characters do or say things that the character's owner does not want them to do. However, saying what somone else's character does while your playing your own character is also powerplaying.

role-playing terms
There are many terms and abbreviations used in role-plays, escpecialy chat role plays. Some of the main ones are listed below with their meaning. Not all sites use these terms, but it is helpful to know them just in case.
Role Play (RP)
RP is often used for short, but it simply means role play.
Original Character (OC)
An original character is made up by the role-player and not copy righted to anyone else. The character belongs to him or her and was not stolen from any book, telivision show, or other role-player.
Out Of Character (OOC)
The abreviation is comonly seen in many roleplay chats, and followed by context that may not seem to relate to the role-player's character. That is beacuse the phrase out of character means that the player is posting or saying something as themselves, and not as the character. If you are on a role-play site and need to comment on something out of the context of the role play, then it is helpful to post "OOC" before you say it. However, is the website has another system used to show that you are out of character (such as parenthesis) then you do not need to post OOC
Text Terms in RP
Text terms can be used to convey messages to other members, however, it is often frowned upon to use them in actual roleplay. For example, don't have your character say "brb" if they are actually saying "be right back" Most roleplayers consider this just being lazy. However, if you are speaking OOC, then text sland is perfectly acceptable.
Be Right Back (BRB)
Since the term BRB is used commonly in texting and other messaging systems, it is widly known. This abreviation is used to let others know that you will be away from the computer or chat for a few minutes.
Be Back Later (BBL)
This is practicly the same as BRB except it implies that you will be gone for longer then a span of a few minutes, usualy more then an hour.
1. You may not kill another character in the yours or other kingdom. However, the twist to our role playing is that you (a spy or someone who is killing others) can be killed by guards, fighters and generals. The worst that you may do to a character would be wounding them greatly, making them fall. If we find that you or a character is being unfair, you will be warned.
2. Common sense states that people and dragons needs to eat! Don't go a whole week without killing prey and eating it. This rule is basically the same for drinking water.
3. you must roleplay in third person.
4. Your rank can be claimed by other members. If the Admins think that you are not fit to hold the rank, your rank will be moved(unfair, godmodding, powerplaying) If you are inactive, your rank may be lowered and a more active member will be taking your rank.
5. Something we hate and try to avoid would be godmodding. Godmodding results in people trying to be superior to others, overpowered and unable to be defeated.
6. Seasons change causing there to be less or more prey, or harder to navigate through the area, etc.
7. dragons dont' curse or swear so don't swear or curse keep it PG13!
8. Speak up if something is wrong.
9. No Advertising.
10. no godmodding and powerplay if I or the admins and mods catches you, you will be warned
11. In the role-play DARKEN LIGHTS, IF you are playing n ark fury or one of the five vikings that is going to tame the dark fury you are only allow to play one character only unless we said other wise. the rest can play a dragon and a viking. (dragon must be the one you are riding)
1. Don't spam in the chat box or on the blog, you will obtain a warning if you do.
2. No advertising, it makes the website inactive. If you become an ally, then your site will be shown on the Allies & Enemies page along with a link to your site.
3. If you wish to change your character, contact an Admin or the Site Owner to let us know and get approved for it.
4. Please hide your signatures, or keep them small less than 10 words in small font.
5. Listen to the Admins and the Moderators, don't argue with them, they can help you with anything that you require, even though the Moderators deal with more of the drama.
6. Breaking laws result in warnings. If you obtain two warnings, then you will be switched to a limited member. When this happens, you won't be able to post anything on the forums and if we find out that your breaking another law, you WILL be banned.
7. Don't steal from this website, we don't allow such things. If you do, we will report you. If you wish to take something from this site, then contact the Site Owner.
